With the market projected to be depressed by about 12-20% and a compressed demand by consumers moving forward, Mansi shared about how COVID-19 has reshaped the oil and gas industry and Shell’s 3 big principles, namely; Care, Continuity & Comeback to address the challenges brought on by the pandemic.

Mansi stated that post-pandemic, sustainability will feature more prominently and Shell’s commitment in surviving and thriving through energy transition by achieving nett carbon footprint through 3 areas of focus: Manufacturing, Product and Working with Partners in their manufacturing processes and how they manage their carbon footprint.

The pandemic has catapult changes on Industry 4.0 and digitalisation in an accelerated rate and embracing those changes, Shell is exploring full digitalisation of their processes from production to the last customer. To emerge from the pandemic stronger, Mansi is of view that as leaders in the region reopen their economies and provide assistance to different sectors along the way, working closely together with the government will aid in recovery of the economy.
